Southwest Trip

Up Mesa Verde Route 66

In April 2005, we took a vacation in the southwest.  We began by flying into Las Vegas where we spent a couple of days sight-seeing and enjoying way too many of the buffets.

From there, we drove through Utah and Zion National Park on our way to Mesa Verde to visit the Anasazi cliff dwellings.  Afterwards, we continued south to Albuquerque via four corners.  We celebrated my sister's birthday in Albuquerque and visited the Taos pueblo.  We then took a trip back in time by following what was left of Rt. 66 all the way to the Arizona/California border.  We completed our trip about two-weeks from when we began by driving from Kingman, Arizona back to Las Vegas where we caught our plane home.
